Oilgonewile was never challenged for the lead in the 1 1/16 miles turf contest and she completed the distance in 1:42.83. It was four and three-quarter lengths back to Tailbytherail in second place and another half-length back to Hot Chili Pepper in third.
The Georgia Debutante marked Oilgonewile's first stakes victory and second career win. She paid $27.60, $10.40 and $5.60. Tailbytherail returned $3.80 and $2.80, while Hot Chili Pepper paid $3.60 to show.

Mr. Calascibetta told me that if I could get her to relax soon enough, she would take me a long way up front. We cleared off pretty fast and easily, so as soon as we reached the backstretch I started to relax her and she began running very comfortably. At that point I was confident she would finish strong. I knew we would start getting some pressure from the others around the last turn, so I didn't wait too long to ask her to open up. When I did, she responded even better than I expected."
